We are a family owned and operated vineyard in Benton, Illinois. Our great grandfather bought the land and farmed corn and soybeans, but with our generation the corn and soybeans gave way to grapes. We currently farm twelve acres consisting of Norton, Seyval Blanc, Vignole, Chardonel, Chambourcin, Golden Muscat, and Cabernet Franc, as well as Niagara and Seedless Concord.
Everything we do from pruning the grapes, canopy management, and picking the fruit at harvest is done entirely by hand. We currently sell most of our grapes to Illinois wineries. We partner with the wineries to produce the highest quality of fruit possible. Our reputation for producing quality fruit increases with each harvest. Our Seyval Blanc 2000 grapes were sold to Lynfred Winery in Roselle, Illinois. Winemaker Doug Seitz with the fatherly guidance of owner Fred Koehler crafted the grapes into an award winning wine. At the state competition in Springfield, Illinois in July of 2002 Doug was awarded the Governor's Cup Award for his 2000 vintage of Seyval Blanc from Two Oaks Vineyard. This was the first time that Lynfred Winery was awarded this honor. We were also in the June 28th edition of the USA Today representing Illinois in the article "50 Toasts of the Nation". In 2008 our Cabernet Franc under the tender care of Rick and Maria Mamoser of Prairie State Winery won the Governor's Cup Award.
